Prosciutto and Melon Skewers
These perfectly sweet and salty skewers are made with fresh melons, mozzarella and prosciutto.
Ingredients
Makes 20 Skewers —- Cantaloupe, Honeydew and/or Watermelon, cut into 1 inch cubes, or balled with a melon baller.
- 40 pieces total
- ¼ lb thinly sliced prosciutto, cut into 20 long strips
- Balsamic vinegar or balsamic dressing (optional)
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Recipe
On long toothpick skewers, thread a melon piece, a folded up piece of prosciutto, and a second melon piece. Drizzle with balsamic if using. Serve cold.Variations —
- Use small mozzarella balls instead of a second piece of melon.
