Prosciutto and Melon Skewers

These perfectly sweet and salty skewers are made with fresh melons, mozzarella and prosciutto.


Makes 20 Skewers —
  • Cantaloupe, Honeydew and/or Watermelon, cut into 1 inch cubes, or balled with a melon baller.
  • 40 pieces total
  • ¼ lb thinly sliced prosciutto, cut into 20 long strips
  • Balsamic vinegar or balsamic dressing (optional)
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional)


On long toothpick skewers, thread a melon piece, a folded up piece of prosciutto, and a second melon piece. Drizzle with balsamic if using. Serve cold. 

Variations —
  • Use small mozzarella balls instead of a second piece of melon.
  • Slice melon thin and serve with prosciutto on lightly buttered toast.
