A delicious twist on a the classic grilled cheese! Using your favorite apple, tangy mustard and jam, with bacon as a bonus, this sandwich is the ultimate way to jazz up your traditional dish!
Ingredients
- 8 slices bread (sourdough preferred)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
- 1 tablespoon fig or apple jam
- 8 slices sharp cheddar cheese, enough for two layers on four sandwiches
- 2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
- 8 slices thin bacon, cooked (optional)
