Our Story

We love fresh produce. It is the very essence of what everyone at L&M does every day.

L&M was founded in 1964 by Joe McGee. Joe grew up on a small family farm located in Johnston County, North Carolina. His parents taught him the value of a hard day's work and strong relationships. After more than five decades, we are still well grounded in the same principles; we work hard — with respect, passion, leadership and excellence — and always with unyielding integrity.

It's worth repeating that we are passionate about our produce. Getting the right product to our customers at the right time is a goal that drives every member of the L&M team. Understanding their needs is important to us and knowing what it takes to get the job done is our expertise. We promise persistence. You can rest assured that we're going to do everything we can to bring you the very best fresh produce.
