Cabbage offers multiple health benefits. Cabbage is rich in Vitamin C; Vitamin K, which supports brain health; Sulphur; beta-carotene; folate; and minerals. Cabbage is also a cruciferous vegetable, noted for its cancer fighting properties.
Storage and Handling
When selecting cabbage at the store, pick a cabbage that feels heavy for its size and has tightly wrapped leaves. Cabbage can be stored for 3 weeks up to 2 months in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator. Keep it whole until you plant to use it, then peel off any outer leaves that feel soft.
