Handling Chiles
It’s important to be careful in handling chiles. It’s a good idea to wear rubber gloves when slicing chiles to protect your hands from the capsaicin – the same component that gives chiles their heat. Don’t touch your eyes or face when handling chiles and thoroughly wash your hands when you are done.

Health Benefits
Chili peppers contain capsaicin, which has anti-inflammatory properties and is used in many pain-relieving treatments. Capsaicin has also been shown to improve heart health and metabolism.
