Antonio’s willingness to learn from others and see various perspectives of the business make him effective in his role.  He also appreciates any opportunity to be in direct contact with nature and people.  He says, “I enjoy the smell of fresh produce being harvested and packed, and having the opportunity to talk with people, from Food Safety Scientifics to harvesters.”  Outside of work, Antonio’s young daughters keep him busy playing soccer and attending tea parties.  He also follows all forms of car racing and grows vegetables in his garden.

John Gooch’s work ethic and reliability reflect the ongoing mission of L&M.   He is well grounded.  John develops successful partnerships by maintaining good communication and remaining customer focused.  He enjoys his work because “no day is exactly like the other.”   In his personal life, John likes hanging out with his family, spending time outdoors, and hoping NC State will win ballgames.

Jeff loves working in the produce business.  His enthusiasm is fostered by the relationships made with growers, customers, suppliers and even competitors.  In addition, he appreciates the reward of tackling the day-to-day challenges.  Most importantly, Jeff is “sweet” on sweet potatoes!  He argues, “The sweet potato is Mother Nature’s best work!”  When he’s not celebrating the sweet potato, Jeff is riding his Harley Davidson.

John is a well-respected and valued member of L&M’s sales organization.   With 35 years of experience, John not only knows the produce business, but he also knows the people.  The relationships forged with customers, growers, and co-workers form the foundation of John’s successful career.  Away from work, John enjoys gathering with family and friends for dinner and watching (if not participating in) sports.

Sandy works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the L&M systems operational.  Sandy uses her understanding of the organization and individual roles within to adapt technologies and achieve company goals.  She is always willing to help.  In her free time, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family. She says, “whether it’s shopping, going to the beach or just playing a game of cards – they make me smile.”

The reason for Adam’s success in the produce business can be summed up in his own words, “I truly love what I do.”  He values the satisfaction of taking products produced by our farmers to consumers.  He enjoys the fast pace and ever-changing nature of the business.  Most of all, he appreciates the opportunity to work alongside so many people equally as passionate as he is about delivering quality produce to market.  Adam’s enthusiasm outside of work extends to almost any outdoor activity and anything NC State Wolfpack!

For Donna Feltrup, the produce business knows no boundaries.  Donna’s experience and expertise in export sales allows her to understand and meet market demands all over the world. Donna says she enjoys the excitement of constant change and new challenges in her profession.  In her personal life, she spends time practicing karate, kick-boxing, gardening, and playing the piano.

Liz Barrionuevo provides support to both sales professionals and growers.  Her enthusiasm and positive outlook make her an invaluable asset to the L&M Sales Team.  She tirelessly works to “make it happen” and usually does so with a smile.  Outside of work, Liz’s enthusiasm for life translates to spending time outdoors.  She loves going to the beach, deep sea fishing, and horseback riding.

Ken Stewart is committed to the people in our business.  His industry experience combined with his commitment to his company, customers, and growers equals success for everyone.  He has a passion for the challenges in the produce business because, “Every day is different…and that keeps things interesting.”  When he’s not thinking about onions, Ken spends time with his family, plays golf, travels, and supports Boise State Bronco Football and New York Yankee Baseball.
